Who is RealNeko?

RealNeko RealNeko Vtuber

Hi! I'm Neko. I'm a robotics/software engineer who has a love for creation. I've dabbled in acting, photography, digital art, web development, and YouTube.
I started streaming on Twitch in December 28, 2020, and have loved the community we've built ever since! I genuinely am so thankful to the life-long friends I have made here, and I hope to continue making more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here and being a part of my story. The Neko Nation all started with one penguin, Mascot. He found cat pictures online and fell in love with them, to the point of calling himself a Neko. Ever since, more and more Nekos have joined the Neko Nation, becoming the giant nation it has become today.

RealNeko is a hooman who walked into the Neko Nation by chance. It only helped that her nickname is Neko. Falling in love with the Nekos, Neko decided to stay and set up her own igloo. She is delighted that you decided to join her! A friend of Neko is a friend of all Nekos.

What are Nekos?

Nekos are penguins who joined the Neko Nation. Their signature uniform is the cat ear headband they all wear.

Isn't the word 'neko' the Japanese word for cat?

Yep. At least they wear cat ears, I guess?

Neko/Niko is Neko's nickname IRL, and has been since she was in middle school, even before she knew what Neko meant. Although her nickname is Neko, Neko's favorite animal is actually the penguin, so she wanted to make sure they were part of the brand.
She drew her first Neko, HypeNeko, and has been in love with her Nekos ever since.

What's a chicken and a toad doing in the Neko Nation?

They were both found by the Nekos on the outskirts of the Neko Nation. The Nekos fell in love with their amazing personalities, and have decided to keep them as pets.

Chicken was meant to be part of a Lunar New Year animals art series in Februrary 2022. On stream, Neko was drawing a chicken when she colored in the eyes as a placeholder to keep the eye color. What resulted was a very startled Chicken, the one we all use in chat today.
Disatoad was drawn off-stream for Inktober 2023. While trying to follow an image of a toad online, Neko ended up making a toad who looked like it was judging your very existence. We all need a Disatoad in our lives, don't we?
